The idea came to us while travelling – as it often does. We wanted to add a large canvas bag to the A&K range: light, considered, different. In Paraguay, with the help of kind strangers, broken Spanish, open hands and open hearts, we found a maker who brought our idea to life – sympathetic, generous and genuinely talented.

1. How does the strap system work?
The strap can be swapped in seconds – pull it out, thread in a new one. A plain bag becomes a completely different look with a contrast strap. Infinitely adjustable to fit your height and outfit – thick winter coat or summer t-shirt. No other bag at this level does that.
2. No zip – does everything really stay inside?
Yes. As you carry the bag, the straps pull the sides together – the opening narrows on its own. On the tube, while cycling, bending down. No mechanism that jams or breaks over time. Quick access to your phone or keys still works.
3. Who is the large canvas bag for?
For anyone who wants one bag to carry them through the day – not three. Morning commute, Saturday market, evening with friends. Along the seafront in summer, with linen trousers, trainers or a sundress. A bag that fits you – because you put it together yourself.
4. What fits inside?
More than you'd expect. Everyday: phone, power bank, wallet, keys, notebook, headphones, glasses, 1L bottle, A&K Organiser – and still room for a jumper in the evening. Beach & travel: towel, swimwear, bottle, snacks, cap, sunglasses, flip-flops.
5. How do I care for the bag?
Remove the strap – machine wash at 30°C – rethread the strap. Done. Cotton handles it well and gets softer and more characterful with every wash.
6. Are the colours limited?
Yes. We produce in small batches – by choice, not necessity. When a bag or strap colour sells out, it doesn't automatically come back. If you have a combination in mind, don't wait too long.
